Project 1
Trailer for the new hit movie, "Chemical Showdown" In theaters June 2011.
Still a lot of editing and polishing to do with my producers. But its a good start.
Newbie Project
This project was scripted by the instructor but then the students completely took over the project. They did the filming and wrote the words for the voice over according to what they recorded. In science we have learning targets for each unit. This video recaps the 3 main targets for our density unit with student commentary.
Newbie Project Pitch 2
For each unit in science we have 3 learning targets for students to "hit" and master. I want to put together a montage or the three learning targets throughout the unit that will help students review the concepts. It will show labs and activities they did in class that are related to a certain target. For example, our next unit is density. I would present a title screen that presents the target and then show footage of what students did that are related to the target. I plan on interviewing students during the activities so that they can share their thoughts and what they are learning. Through watching the video, students would be able to review and see themselves as the stars.
Newbie Project Pitch
I will be creating a commercial/infomercial on a kit that includes 3 methods to find the volume of an object. It will have a host (student hopefully) that will be walking the viewer through the product and how it can help someone find the volume of an object. The “kit” includes a ruler, a graduated cylinder, and a displacement cup. These are all used in science to find the volume of an object. The host will walk the viewer through how to use each piece of equipment, as well as why that piece would be used. Students will take on the acting role and there will be voice over for the entire clip.
